Lebanese Love Affair IV
The Lebanese Love Affair IV is an intensive that offers dancers the possibility to study in an intimate setting with an important figure of the dance arts scene in the Arab world. From Thursday to Sunday dancers will have the opportunity to train in multiple topics that vary from Arab folk dances, musical theory and dance technique. We are honored to debut this year, our first panel discussion: “Longevity in a Dancer’s Career” (featuring Co-Director, Amara Sayid) where members of our dance community will discuss the challenges of the professional dancer and how the stages of a dancer’s career evolves relative to the dancer’s age and level of experience.
On Sunday night, a marvelous closing gala will take place at the stunning FLAMINGO THEATER which resembles Badia Masabni’s Opera Casino. The purpose of the closing gala is to showcase the excellence in Middle Eastern dance forms including the beautiful Raks al Sharki, the correct Arabic term for “belly dance”, and invite them to witness a more culturally-immersed Arab arts, beyond what is shown in the media.
